FAiTh Fight Against Thalassemia organized a picnic for our thalassemia fellows on 12th March 2020 at Jinnah Farm House, Karachi.
Alhamdulillah 20+ fellows and their family members enjoyed the picnic thoroughly.
We at FAiTh believe it’s important for their mental health to take time out for themselves, relax and recharge their batteries.
We hope you all will agree patients deserve to have a little fun too 🙂

FAiTh – Fight Against Thalassemia – A Patients & Parents Association conducted a Patients & Parents Session at Thalassemia Ward Kutiyana Memon Hospital Karachi on Saturday 25th January 2020
We briefed them about how can they take better care of themselves, how they can maintain their hemoglobin and ferritin, about prevention, about FAiTh Patient Support Group, how can they spread awareness & how can they help themselves & thalassemia center regarding blood donations & iron chelation medicines.
President FAiTh Ayesha Mehmood shared her life experience with the patients & parents.
Thalassemia Ward in Kutiyana Memon Hospital established in 2010 have approx. 177 registered patients, they are providing blood transfusions & iron chelation medicines to all their patients free of cost.
We cut the cake with the little fellows and distributed gifts among them.
We are thankful to Kutiyana Memon Hospital for giving us chance to interact with patients & parents, for the arrangements & support
We are also thankful to Azm e Naujawan team Umair, Hasnain, Samreen & Shaheer for joining us. Syeda Mehak from AJM Pharma for guiding patients regarding Bait ul Maal procedure.

FAiTh Fight Against Thalassemia – A Patients & Parents Association organized a training for iron chelation injection preparation & it’s usage on 18th January 2020 in Karachi, where 30+ patients & their parents attended the training and learnt how to prepare the injection, infusion pump, IV drips and how to administer subcutaneous injection themselves, we have made video of the entire session which will be uploaded on our official page, YouTube etc for our fellows from out of Karachi to learn the method.
We are really thankful to our trainers for their time, support and efforts!
FAiTh president Ayesha Mehmood was invited as a panelist for thalassemia awareness program organized by Azm e Naujawan Center Liyari Khadda Market on 2nd January 2020
Among the panelist were chairman Thalassemia Ward Kutiyana Memon Hospital Yousuf Gadit, Thalassemians Welfare Organization chairman Jatin Kewlani.
We are thankful to Azm e Naujawan team for inviting us, inshaAllah we will keep supporting their thalassemia awareness cause.

Help Thalassemia Care Center established in 2012 have approx. 225 registered patients, they are trying their best to provide safe blood transfusions to their patients with the help of donors & limited resources. They have developed a software to manage all their patients’ record, data, and profiles. Currently they don’t have their own blood bank, they receive blood for their registered patients from Dow University Hospital, Jinnah Hospital & Muhammadi Blood Bank. Their new building is under construction where they will have their own blood bank. They are offering thalassemia screening, blood transfusions & iron chelation to all their registered patients free of cost.

On 3rd November 2019 FAiTh members attended Thal Olympiad event organized by Help International Welfare Trust.
It was indeed a great effort by Help Thalassemia Center for thalassemia fellows and their families.
FAiTh distributed some gifts among thalassemia fellows.
On 26th October 2019 FAiTh members organized a One Dish Party at FAiTh Office Karachi. Such event / gatherings gives us a chance to sit together, forget everything and have some happy moments together.
FAiTh member Rehan Qadeer gave a motivational speech to the fellows, Rehan will be completing his studies for LLB in less than an year, he is thalassemia major, maintaining ferritin less than 300 mashaAllah. He is definitely an inspiration for all the thalassemia fellows. Thank you so much Rehan for your time and valuable advises, they will surely help a lot of fellows.
