Water Dispenser for Thalassemia Ward Thatta
We are pleased to share a significant achievement from our archives. FAiTh received a request from the Thalassemia Ward of Civil Hospital Thatta, where patients were facing a critical challenge: the lack of access to clean water within the ward.
With the invaluable support of our dedicated donors, FAiTh orchestrated the installation of a water dispenser. Going above and beyond, our team also installed a new water tank, ensuring that patients and their families had uninterrupted access to clean and safe water.
This noteworthy initiative, carried out in memory of the Late Mr. Asghar Malik, was successfully executed on June 3rd, 2023. We express our sincere gratitude to the family of Late Mr. Asghar Malik for their generous contribution, which played a pivotal role in making this project a reality.
At FAiTh, we remain committed to our mission of addressing pressing humanitarian needs. This project exemplifies the impact of collaborative efforts and reflects our dedication to upholding the highest standards of care and compassion in healthcare facilities.

Walk For Cause 2023 by Help International Welfare Trust
On May 7th, 2023, Help International Welfare Trust (HIWT) organized an awareness walk [Walk For Cause 2023] in Karachi for International Thalassemia Day. People from different thalassemia centers, the media, and thalassemia patients’ families joined the walk.
International Thalassemia Day is observed on May 8th each year to raise awareness about thalassemia and show support for those affected by it.
FAiTh (Fight Against Thalassemia) was proud to be a part of this walk and received a token of appreciation.
Movie Show by Burhani Thalassemia Center on 7th May 2023
Every year, in commemoration of International Thalassemia Day, the Burhani Thalassemia Center hosts Movie Show that unites thalassemia patients from various centers, including our FAiTh (Fight Against Thalassemia) members. The heartwarming tradition took place once again this year at the iconic Capri Cinema in Karachi, and we were honored to be among the invited guests from the thalassemia community.
On May 7th, the halls of Capri Cinema echoed with joy, laughter, and camaraderie as thalassemia patients and their supporters gathered to celebrate life and raise awareness about this inherited blood disorder. The Burhani Thalassemia Center’s annual Movie Day is a testament to their unwavering commitment to providing a day of happiness for thalassemia patients, a day they truly deserve.
Our gratitude knows no bounds as we thank the Burhani Thalassemia Center for their thoughtfulness in extending an invitation to our FAiTh members. Their gesture is a reminder of the strength that lies in community, as we continue to fight against thalassemia together.
International Thalassemia Day 2023 Session
In line of Thalassemia International Day 2023, FAiTh (Fight Against Thalassemia) organized a meaningful awareness session for patients and parents on April 30, 2023, in Karachi. The event featured distinguished medical experts, including Endocrinologist Dr. Ayesha Sheikh from Aga Khan Hospital and Hemoglobinopathies specialist Dr. Asim Qidwai from Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation.
This enlightening session attracted participation from numerous patients and parents hailing from various thalassemia centers and hospitals. To expand our reach, we also conducted a live broadcast on Facebook, garnering significant appreciation from a wide audience. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to these dedicated doctors for generously sharing their time, knowledge, and unwavering support.
Ramadan Drive 2023 @ Burhani Thalassemia Center Karachi
FAiTh (Fight Against Thalassemia) organized its 5th Ramadan Rashan Drive in 2023 on April 17th at the Burhani Thalassemia Center in Karachi.
During the event, we gave patients essential food supplies, biscuits, and thoughtful gifts. We also collected important information from families with thalassemic and non-thalassemic children. This information will help us understand their needs better and improve our work in the future.

Ramadan Drive 2023 @ Sindhi Buttra Khairpur Nathan Shah
During a previous visit to Sindhi Buttra Khairpur Nathan Shah, we had pledged to provide essential food supplies to the flood victims.
On April 18, 2023, Alhamdulillah, the FAiTh team honored this commitment by delivering much-needed food rations and relief items to them.

During Ramadan 2023, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori graciously opened the doors of the Governor House to the general public. The Governor organized special iftar and sehri drives, extending invitations to various NGOs, trusts, organizations, as well as schools, colleges, and universities. We are delighted to share that FAiTh (Fight Against Thalassemia) was among the esteemed invitees, and on the 13th of April, we had the honor of joining with our thalassemia patients for a heartwarming iftar.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Governor Sindh for extending this thoughtful invitation. The iftar was truly a memorable occasion for all our patients and their parents, creating lasting moments of togetherness and joy.
On 12th April 2023, traveled to Rashidabad, Tando Allahyar, Sindh with a primary purpose of organizing Ramadan Rashan Drive. Little did we know that this journey would also provide us with a beautiful opportunity to visit the incredible Dar Ul Sukun. It was a day filled with compassion, warmth, and unforgettable experiences. Here’s a glimpse of our inspiring visit!
Imran Nadeem, the administrator of Dar Ul Sukun Rashidabad, warmly welcomed us and gave us a comprehensive tour of the facilities at Dar Ul Sukun Rashidabad. It was truly heartwarming to witness the meticulous care and attention given to all the residents. The cleanliness and organization of the place were impeccable, reflecting the dedication and love with which it is managed.
During our visit, we had the privilege of meeting the incredible children and adults residing at Dar Ul Sukun Rashidabad. Their smiles and warm greetings filled our hearts with joy. We were deeply moved by their resilience and the sense of community fostered within the facility.
It was evident that Dar Ul Sukun Rashidabad not only provided shelter and care but also worked towards the holistic well-being of its residents. From educational programs to recreational activities, the center ensures a nurturing environment where individuals can grow and thrive.
As we interacted with the staff and residents, we learned about some of the pressing needs of Dar Ul Sukun Rashidabad. They expressed their requirement for an ambulance to ensure swift medical assistance for emergencies. Additionally, they requested support in raising funds to sustain their noble cause of providing care and support to those in need.

The second Ramadan Rashan Drive of the year 2023 was held by FAiTh (Fight Against Thalassemia) on April 8th, 2023, at Civil Hospital also known as Liaquat University Hospital Hyderabad Sindh.
The FAiTh team distributed rashan and biscuits to the patients and also collected important data from the families of both thalassemic and non-thalassemic children to better understand their needs and improve our efforts in the future.
