An Interactive Session For Thalassemia Patients & Parents was organized by FAiTh Patients & Parents Association in collaboration with Memon Professional Forum on 22nd July 2018 in Karachi.
Event was conducted by Dr Muhammad Usman Sheikh consultant hematologist Aga Khan University Hospital. The event was attended by thalassemia patients & their parents from different thalassemia centers.
The event gave a great chance to our thalassemia fellows to ask questions regarding their treatment openly to doctor.
We are really thankful to Dr Muhammad Usman Sheikh for his time, support and knowledge.

FAiTh – Fight Against Thalassemia took some thalassemia fellows of Fatimid Foundation Karachi to PonyCycle Pakistan at Atrium Mall Karachi.
We are really thankful to PonyCycle Pakistan for giving FREE rides to the thalassemia kids, they LOVED it a lot.
Then we took them for Pizza party at Pizza Hut, all the kids enjoyed their meal.
Special thanks to our team members for making the event successful Alhamdulillah, we appreciate our team efforts.
We specially thanks Careem captain Umer, he gifted the ride to our wheelchair bound thalassemia fellow
FAiTh President Ayesha Mehmood was invited as a guest speaker by Hope Of Life on 3rd May 2017 for seminar on thalassemia awareness at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Bahawalpur. Hope of Life arranged free blood grouping to gather more blood donors for thalassemics of Bahawalpur and near by cities / villages.
FAiTh was invited for seminar at Haripur on 31st December 2016, we also visited Haripur Thalassaemia Care And Prevention Center, had interview at Radio Smile FM-88.6 & met GM Lateef Ghee Industries Haripur.
By the help of our generous donors Alhamdulillah we donated 5 infusion pumps, 150 desferal injections, t-shirts, 200 vitamin D injections, heater & 100 cannulas.
Alhamdulillah with the help of a generous donor we have performed qurbani.
InshaAllah fellows from Fatimid Foundation Karachi will receive their share tomorrow.
We started the drive from Fatimid Foundation Hyderabad, where we distributed 26 rashan packets worth 4000/- each with month’s food supply Alhamdulillah.
Next we went to Fatimid Foundation Khairpur where we celebrated FAiTh’s late founder Salman Mehmood & our member Hammad’s birthday with thalassemia fellows. 75 fellows received Eid dresses, mehndi, bangles & watches. Volunteer applied mehndi to little thalassemia fellows
Our next stop was Fatimid Foundation Rashidabad, where we distributed 75 Eid dresses, mehndi, bangles & watches.
Our Ramadan & Eid drive came to an end with 2 days of iftar for 140+ fellows at Fatimid Foundation Karachi, 10 rashan packets, 70+ Eid dresses, mehndi, bangles & watches Alhamdulillah.
Words would never be enough for our generous donors, without their continuous support we couldn’t have done it. Thanks to all the donors!
Fatimid Foundation Hyderabad celebrated International Thalassemia Day & World Blood Donor Day at Dialdas Club Hyderabad on 27th May 2016.
FAiTh team was invited by Dr. Rab Nawaz Memon, we are really thankful to him for the invitation, honor and respect.
As it is said every good effort should be appreciated. Fatimid Foundation Hyderabad has 400+ registered thalassemia fellows at the moment, the way Dr. Rab Nawaz [Administrator Fatimid Foundation Hyderabad] is running the center, managing blood donors, financial donors, staff and everything is commendable.
He not only provides blood to the fellows but he has connected himself and center to some really good human beings whom we can call angels, they are providing them free iron chelation medicines too.
Fatimid Foundation Hyderabad has given jobs to some of our thalassemia fellows and that is also a remarkable step towards bringing fellows close to the system and giving them opportunity.
The event was mashaAllah very well organized, attended by a lot of fellows, their parents, donors etc.
Personalities like Commissioner Hyderabad Dr. Qazi Shahid Pervaiz, CEO Fatimid Foundation Karachi Mr. Rumi Dossal, Trustee Dr. Muhammad Farooq Memon & Trustee Mr. Maqbool Ahmed Memon were there to grace the occasion with their presence. It was an honor to be among such personalities.
It is not an easy task to run center with 400+ registered thalassemia fellows, arranging their blood, medicines etc. Dr. Rab Nawaz is doing tremendous job, may Allah bless him with more power & strength for the cause.
If you are in Hyderabad do visit the center, if you live in Hyderabad make sure you donate blood to them every 3 to 4 months and if possible do try to help them financially too.
Just for our reader’s knowledge Fatimid Foundation Centers all over Pakistan provides FREE of cost blood to the children & they provide iron chelation medicines too.

After seminar she visited thalassemia ward at Bahawalpur Victoria Hospital, met patients & parents there.. spent some time with them & FAiTh adopted 2 new thalassemia fellows for monthly dose of desferal from Bahawalpur.
Since last visit quiet a few things have changed, patients and parents are now more aware of how to take proper care of their children & they are taking more interest in keeping them healthy & active Alhamdulillah!
Fight Against Thalassemia team visited Fatimid Foundation Rashidabad on 25th January 2016 for winter drive.

We are really thankful to admin Ahmed Sahab for his time, care and hospitality. Thank you sir & Fatimid for the stay, center visit, lunch and everything. Thanks a lot for the love, respect and honor, it was a memorable trip for FAiTh members since we got to meet staff of Karachi center who are now working at Rashidabad center, bought back so many memories. Loved meeting Nizam bhai, Altaf bhai, Sister Liz & Saleem bhai.
