FAiTh had the honor of attending HAEMCON 2025 Pakistan, the 27th Annual Conference of the Pakistan Society of Hematology, held from 17th to 20th April 2025. The event provided an important platform for professionals working in hematology across the country. It also created opportunities for dialogue, learning, and collaboration.
The conference brought together leading hematologists, clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals from Pakistan. Throughout the sessions, experts shared updates on research, clinical practices, and emerging treatment approaches. As a result, participants gained valuable insights into improving the diagnosis and management of blood disorders. In addition, discussions highlighted the growing need for patient-focused and sustainable healthcare models.
We are especially grateful to Prof. Dr. Mehreen Ali Khan for her kind invitation and warm hospitality. Her continued support plays a significant role in strengthening cooperation between medical professionals and patient welfare organizations. Moreover, such encouragement helps build bridges between clinical expertise and community-based care.
Representing FAiTh at HAEMCON 2025 Pakistan allowed us to engage directly with specialists in the field. We shared experiences from our work with thalassemia patients and discussed real-world challenges. Furthermore, these interactions helped us explore meaningful collaborations aimed at improving patient care and awareness.
The conference also emphasized the importance of teamwork in healthcare. Through shared learning and open discussion, participants reinforced the value of collective effort. Consequently, new ideas emerged for improving access to quality hematology services across Pakistan.
Overall, HAEMCON 2025 was a valuable and inspiring experience. FAiTh remains committed to working alongside medical experts and institutions. Through continued collaboration, learning, and advocacy, we aim to contribute to better care for individuals affected by thalassemia and other blood disorders in Pakistan.
